Natti Shmia-Ofer’s map sketches a recipe and process of making roofing tiles out of seeds and grain. The map is a detail out of the piece  ‘outline for pigeon square’, which presents plans to construct a temporary community factory for the creation of roofing tiles from bird food. The piece suggests the possibility of returning songbirds to the urban sphere in a contemporary cultural context that expresses compartmentalisation, policing, and separation, and to chart a poetic potential connection between the protected covered house and the imagined wild nature.
